The world health organization (WHO) in Geneva certified the Costa Blanca the best and healthiest climate of the world. It has been proved that the stable climate of this region eases illnesses such as rheumatism, gout and asthma. Since the sunlight has a propitious effect on your body and mind, doctors have unanimously declared the Costa Blanca as one of the healthiest regions on earth.
With 300 sunny days per year, the Mediterranean climate on the coast is already enough reason to visit the Costa Blanca. With only 60 rainy days per year and an average precipitation amount of 300 to 350 l/m2 , the Costa Blanca is one of the driest regions in Europe although it always appears as a blooming region. Responsible for the low precipitation are prevailing winds from the West across the Iberian peninsula as well as the shielding coastal mountain ranges where the rain of the Atlantic low pressure areas fall down on the western side.
